Worth it!

Our batteries are dead, our bread and milk gone and our heads full! We have been trying hard to absorb the experiences, colours and scenery we’ve been immersed in for the last four days. 
We made a 3000 km journey and were rewarded in more ways than we can count. Two days of brilliant sun and two overcast days, we woke up to frost the first morning but that day the temperature moved from -5 to 15 degrees in the afternoon. Our fat down quilt kept us toasty warm at night and my resident lark got up first to turn on the furnace and make the coffee in the morning. Luxurious especially when compared to the frosty little round tents with no movement in the neighbouring sites. Surprising what you’ll go through to just spend another day in heaven! One young couple knew they had to leave when they were down to their last piece of pumpernickel and a tea bag! 
We met people from around the world. There were more Germans staying in the campground in their rented camper vans than any other nationality - probably because of the weekly non-stop flights from Frankfurt to Whitehorse. They love the natural beauty without the crowds.
