Let the beauty begin!

After Buckinghorse, the beauty of the boreal forest returned with background mountain ranges and clear blue sky as we drove through the Northern Rocky Mountains. It all seemed new to us but probably because we are going the opposite direction in a different season. Not a speck of snow on the mountains, no dandelions and trees a variety of darker greens and now some yellow instead of the bright lime green of the new leaves in spring. The ground is covered in a variety of tiny wild flowers, the air filled with the smell of clover.
