We made it to Whitehorse!

We arrived in Whitehorse at dinner time and are pleased to be this far. We hope to make it the rest of the way tomorrow - 538 km - should be easy-peasy! Fingers crossed that the colour remains.
The wifi in Watson Lake was slooooowww so I didn't include many pictures but it is better here. I am snapping like crazy but through the bug-splatted windshield half the time and my camera does a nice clear closeup of some departed bug.
We were rewarded with our early start today by coming upon a herd of at least 50 bison peacefully sleeping and grazing on the side of the road and later in the day watched a clever little fox pouncing in the ditch. He was too far away for pictures and made sure it stayed that way. We were thrilled anyway. Neither one of us has ever seen a fox in the wild, And for another first, a lynx wandered down the side of the road in front of us. I think she was going to stay in sight until a car came from the other direction and she melted into the bushes. Bill stopped the trailer fast to see her and camera went flying so we were flapping like mad to get organized to take a photo - the camouflage one is the best we could do.
It was a good day.
Big old guy took his sweet time crossing. No worries in the world. (Picture taken through the windshield.)

This little guy is taking after his Dad - very brave - ready to stare you down.
Another herd down the road.

Lynx melting into the bushes. She had black 'feather's on the tips of her ears that must have been three inches high.
